Authorizing the Intergovernmental Agreement with the Town of Koshkonong

The Town Board of the Town of Koshkonong, Jefferson County, Wisconsin, with this resolution adopted by a majority of the Town Board on a roll call vote with a quorum present and voting and proper notice having been given, resolves and declares as follows:

WHEREAS, Section 287.24, Wisconsin Statutes provides that two municipalities acting as qualified responsible recycling units may enter into an Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement to participate in the Wisconsin Recycling Consolidation Grant Program, and

WHEREAS, the Town of Koshkonong and the Town of Sumner entered into a continuing Cooperation Agreement on September 14th, 2011, (attached) and have approved and ratified the continuance of the Agreement annually through August, 2018, and

WHEREAS, the Town of Sumner and the Town of Koshkonong desire to continue this Agreement and their participation in the Wisconsin Recycling Consolidation Grant Program;

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Koshkonong, being assembled on October 17, 2018 do hereby authorize the continuance of the Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement with the Town of Koshkonong, and

FURTHER; the Town Board will take action on the Agreement by resolution at the July meeting of 2019 and thereafter in any given year.
