NOTICE IS HERBY GIVEN that an advisory (non-binding) referendum election to be held in the Town of Koshkonong, Jefferson County, on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, the following question will be submitted to a vote of the people:
Resolution calling for an advisory (non-binding) referendum question to solicit public input regarding the use of ATV/UTV vehicles on Town roads.WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors deems it desirable, and in the best interest of the Town, to direct the Town Clerk to submit the advisory (non-binding) question approved by the Town Board of Koshkonong to the electors to solicit public input at the election to be held on November 8, 2022.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Board of Koshkonong, as follows:
Advisory Referendum Election Date. The Town Clerk is hereby directed to call advisory (non-binding) referendum questions at the General Election to be held November 8, 2022, for the purpose of soliciting public input.Advisory (non-binding) Public Question on the use of ATV/UTVs on Town roads. An advisory (non-binding) public question shall be submitted to the voters of the Town of Koshkonong, Jefferson County, Wisconsin as follows:
ADVISORY (NON-BINDING) REFERENDUM VOTE:
Question: Should the use of All-Terrain Vehicles (“ATV”) and Utility Vehicles (“UTV”) continue to be permitted on Town roads?
Yes__________ No__________
A “Yes” vote indicates your support for ATV/UTV use on Town Roads.
A “No” vote indicates your lack of support for ATV/UTV use on Town Roads.Publication and Filing. The Town Clerk is hereby directed to file this authorizing resolution and other related
matters with the appropriate election officials in accordance with applicable law.
Effective Date. This Resolution shall be in full force and effective from and after its passage, approval, and publication in the manner provided by law.Dated and approved on this 17th day of August 2022.
