RESOLUTION TO CLOSE ROADS ACCESSING US HIGHWAY 12 DURING CONSTRUCTION

The purpose of this resolution is to close all roads with access to US Highway 12 from County Road M to Buckingham Road ni the Town of Koshkonong during the duration of the road construction project, March 6, 2023 through December 31, 2023 or until the project is completed.

This resolution is adopted under the statutory authority granted pursuant to powers of the Town under Wisconsin State Statue 60.22 and 82.03.

WHEREAS, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation has started a rehabilitation project of US Highway 12 from Whitewater through the City of Fort Atkinson and,

WHEREAS, the portion of US Highway 12 in the Town of Koshkonong is from County Road M to Tri County Road and,

WHEREAS, the Town of Koshkonong wishes to keep detour traffic and overweight trucks from using access roads off ofthis portion of US Highway 12 for the safety of our residents and to preserve the roadways and,

WHEREAS, the access roads in the construction area include Tri County Road, Buckingham Road, Hoge Road, Creamery Road, Cheeseborough Road, Smiley Lane, Star School Road, Carnes Road, K n a c k Court, Woodlawn Drive, and Hackbarth Road,

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,

THESE ROADS WILL BE CLOSED TO TRAFFIC FOR THE DURATION OF THE CONSTRUCTION PROJECT

This resolution is adopted this day March 8, 2023 at a properly noticed Town Board meeting with a quorum present
