1. Call to order and verification of public meeting The Chairperson called the meeting of the Town Board of Koshkonong to order at 6:57 PM., and the Clerk verified the proper postings had been made.

4. Approve meeting minutes from March 2025 Supervisor Hoffman motioned to put the March 2025 meeting minutes on file. Seconded by Supervisor Jaeckel. No further discussion, all in favor. Motion carried.
5. March 2025 Treasurer’s Report Treasurer Alicia presented March 2025 Treasurer’s Report. Supervisor Jaeckel motioned put the March 2025 Treasurer’s Report on file. Seconded by Supervisor Hoffman. No further discussion, all in favor. Motion carried.
6. Discuss/Motion request by Jedidiah Draeger to rezone A-1 to A-3 0.41 acres to eliminate gap between W5125 & W5115 Bark River Rd Request Jed Draeger present, as well as neighbor John Gray, W5115 Bark River Rd. Request and lots discussed. Supervisor Jaeckel discussed zoning considerations. Supervisor Hoffman motioned to approve the rezone request. Seconded by Supervisor Hill. No further discussion, all in favor. Motion carried.
7. Discuss future road work Old 26 Road being considered. Chairperson will contact an engineer.
8. Discuss/Motion to approve Clerk’s attendance of Wisconsin Election’s Commission Clerks Conference The Wisconsin Election’s Commission is putting on the first inaugural WEC Clerk’s Conference, Clerk would like to attend for learning and network opportunities. Date is 9/30. Supervisor Hill motioned to approve the Clerk’s attendance of the WEC conference. Seconded by Supervisor Jaeckel. No further discussion, all in favor. Motion carried.
9. Discuss/Motion Clerk contract Board approved Clerk’s salary raise to $62,000. Clerk advised of updates to contract for renewal and agreed to sign contract. Supervisor Jaeckel motioned to approve the Clerk’s contract. Seconded by Supervisor Hoffman. No further discussion, all in favor. Motion carried.
10. Discuss/Motion tree cutting estimate at cemetery Public Works Superintendent Dan Butz provided quote from Kriszan for $600 to bring down two trees in the cemetery, which Public Works would clean up. Concerns with stump form previous work discussed. Supervisor Jaeckel motioned to approve the quote for $600. Seconded by Supervisor Brandenburg. No further discussion, all in favor. Motion carried.
11. Public Works a. Report Public Works report provide by Dan Butz reviewed. Radar speed sign data discussed. Tractor update discussed, work is almost completed. Truck quotes discussed. Chair advised seal coating that did not get done last year will get done this year at last year’s rate. Pleasant Road considered for work, between Roe and Eastern. b. Projects Supervisor Jaeckel would like a traffic counter on Jaeckel Road.
12. Approve Bills Clerk explained bills report included a loan payment, this is 4 of 5 of the road work loan, and we paid poll workers from the April election. The trailer purchase is also included, as well as the insurance annual policies due. Supervisor Hoffman motioned to approve the bills as presented. Seconded by Supervisor Hill. No further discussion, all in favor. Motion carried.
13. Clerk’s Report • Open Book: 5/1, 10AM-12PM • Board of Review: 5/28, 5-7PM • April 1 election: 1632 voters = 61% turnout • Sold 2 cemetery plots, money was moved to the cemetery fund • We were made aware of walking event called Trek For Troops happening on July 19, they start at VFW and walk to the end of Blackhawk Island Road • Closed session needs to be scheduled in May for employee reviews
14. Future Agenda Items • Next year’s annual meeting is scheduled for April 21, 2026 • Closed session is scheduled for May 14 at 6:30PM • Treasurer’s contract • Plow truck purchase • Continued future road work discussion • WISLR ratings – hiring out or inhouse • Road work on Pleasant Road

16. Board Member announcements • LRS has been bought out by GFL. Clerk explained that our account rep has advised that all current contracts will be honored and we will not see any changes. • Chair has been speaking with neighbors on Wishing Well who have issues with the adjacent campground. Chair intends to speak with owner. • Robert Parnell issues discussed; Mr. Parnell wanted a fence permit, he was advised that he is in a floodplain, so he must get permission from County. He put up fence without permission. Chair spoke with him. He also has a sump pump that is draining into a neighbor’s property.
