1. Call to order and verification of public meetingThe Chairperson called the meeting of the Town Board of Koshkonong to order at 7:00 PM, and the Clerk verified the proper postings had been made.

5. Approve September 2025 meeting minutes Supervisor Jaeckel motioned to approve the September meeting minutes.Seconded by Supervisor Brandenburg.No further discussion, all in favor. Motion carried.
6. Approve September 2025 Treasurer’s ReportSupervisor Jaeckel motioned to place the September’s Treasurer’s Report on file.Seconded by Supervisor Hoffman.No further discussion, all in favor. Motion carried.
7. Discuss/Motion South Main Street path with road constructionThe City of Fort Atkinson is planning to redo their portion of South Main Street and include a path. The Township owns a short portion of the south end of South Main Street before it ends at Hackbarth Road. Andy Burt, City of Fort Atkinson City Engineer, discussed estimates with Board. Board will table decision on project concerning the Town’s portion of South Main Street after considering estimates into building our 2026 budget.
8. Discuss/Motion Koshkonong Mounds Road chip sealCorrespondence from Fahrner received after Town made partial payment on chip seal project on Koshkonong Mounds Road. Board discussed project and response.Supervisor Hoffman motioned to pay the balance of the Fahrner project.Seconded by Supervisor Jaeckel.No further discussion, all in favor. Motion carried.
9. Discuss/Motion seaplane on Lake KoshkonongChair has spoken to all four other Townships bordering the lake, as well as the Lake District, and none were interested in taking action.Supervisor Hoffman motioned to table the discussion on a potential ordinance and its cost to next month.Board had further discussion on costs, enforcement, and community opinion. Chair will seek quote from attorney on doing an ordinance.Seconded by Supervisor Hill.3 votes aye, 2 votes nay. Motion carried.
10. Discuss/Motion tree removal on Town property on Vinnie Ha HaThere is a tree on Town property that is dead and being held together by a chain. Board discussed if it poses a threat. Board will collect tree removal quotes.
11. Discuss/Motion Humane Society contract renewal proposalFirst year of contracting with Jefferson County Humane Society for animal control needs has gone well. Renewal contract price discussed.Supervisor Jaeckel motioned to approve the 2026 proposed contract with the Jefferson County Humane Society.Seconded by Supervisor Hill.No further discussion, all in favor. Motion carried.
12. Discuss/Motion recycling cooperative agreement with Town of Sumner resolutionResolution draft to continue intergovernmental agreement with Town of Sumner on recycling cooperative agreement discussed.Supervisor Hoffman motioned to approve the resolution as presented.Seconded by Supervisor Hill.No further discussion, all in favor. Motion carried.
13. Discuss/Motion Town building inspectorWe have been notified that our current building inspector will be separating from the position.We will remain with Lake Mills and their contracted building inspector, possibly revisit and put out a request for proposals in December.
14. Public Works report & projectsPublic Works Supervisor Lucas Buckingham provided report and updates. Supervisor Jaeckel inquired on mowing tractor; it is still being worked on. Supervisor Hoffman asked about sign replacement activity, and about a clogged culvert on Bark River Road. Poeppel tree discussed.
15. Approve BillsReport presented with approved remaining balance payment to Fahrner.Supervisor Hoffman motioned to approve the bills as presented.Seconded by Supervisor Jaeckel.No further discussion, all in favor. Motion carried.

The Town Board will consider a motion to convene into closed session pursuant to the provisions of section 19.85(1)(c) of the Wisconsin State Statues for the purpose employment considerations Supervisor Hoffman motioned to convene into closed session at 9:36PM and include the Clerk & Public Works Supervisor.Seconded by Supervisor Jaeckel.
