Please Take Notice that there will be a meeting of the Town Board of Koshkonong, commencing at 5:30pm on Thursday, November 15, 2018 in the Town Hall located at W5609 Star School Road, Fort Atkinson, WI. Following and incorporated herein is an Agenda that sets forth the subject matters to be considered at this meeting.

Call to order and verification of public meeting. Meeting was called to order by Chairperson Bill Burlingame at 5:30pm. The clerk verified that the proper postings had been made.

Members of the Town Board present: Chairperson Bill Burlingame, Supervisors Jim Brandenburg, Walt Christensen, Stacy Kutz, George Jaeckel, Clerk Kim Cheney and Deputy Clerk Robin Untz

Discuss/Action of Financial Review from Johnson Block: Two representatives from Johnson Block were in attendance to present the financial overview which was a blend of an audit and an explanation of account cycles, polices and controls. A formal report will be provided but overall the Town’s financials and processes are good, a few suggestions of providing additional reports to the Town Board were made to ensure all possible oversight controls are in place.

Kutz/Christensen motion to postpone agenda item # 4 to #6. Motion carried.

Discuss/Action of Fire Contracts for Service: Kutz/Jaeckel motion to approve the Fire Contract extension with the City of Fort Atkinson. Motion carried.

Jaeckel/Christensen motion to approve the one-year contract, Jan. 2019 through Dec. 2019, with Milton Fire Department. Motion carried.

Kutz/Christensen motion to return to item # 4. Motion carried.

Continued discussion with Johnson Block included investment risk review, the suggestion to set a policy for Fund Balances and a plan in place for Equipment replacement. Johnson Block will continue to provide support to the Town through QuickBooks support, Form CT completion, tax settlement journal entry help, etc. No action taken.

Discuss/Action of proposed draft of Ordinance book. No action on the discussion of the proposed draft of the Ordinance Book. A work day to review the book to be set Nov. 27, 2018 starting at 9am at which time comments from the public hearing will be considered for the draft.
