Chairman Bill Burlingame called the meeting of the Town Board of Koshkonong to order at 6:30pm. The Administrative Assistant verified the proper postings had been made.

Chairman Bill Burlingame, Supervisors Walt Christensen, Jim Brandenburg, Erik Hoffman, Matt Hill and Administrative Assistant Kim Cheney present.

Closed Session. The Town Board will consider a motion to convene into closed session pursuant to the provisions of section 19.83 (1) of the Wisconsin State Statues for the purpose of employee(s) reviews, employee considerations and employee compensations.

Supervisor Jim Brandenburg/Christensen motion to convene in closed session and include the Administrative Assistant. Motion carried, closed session started at 6:35pm.

Return to open session and action if any from closed session.

Supervisor Matt Hill/Hoffman motion to return to open session at 9:05pm, motion carried.

Supervisor Hill/Hoffman motion to offer a full-time public works position to applicant Justin Jones at a rate of $19 per hour to start, with a 90-probation period, after the 90 days HSA, WRS, life insurance and 5 days’ vacation to be added. CDL to be required, Town will assist with training and fees with a 2-year employment contingency. Motion carried.

Superintendent Dan Butz may consider speaking to the second applicant regarding part time employment. Supervisor Hill/Hoffman motion to authorize the chairman to discuss this with public works.

Supervisor Hill/Hoffman motion to increase public works employee Dan Butz by $2.50 effective September 18, 2022, and increase public works employee Lucas Buckingham by $2.50 effective September 18, 2022. Lucas is being increased to keep his pay in accordance with the new hire. Motions carried.
